Our First Time Feeding Mealies Empty
PostSubject: Our First Time Feeding Mealies   Our First Time Feeding Mealies EmptySun Jul 01, 2012 10:04 am

When I got Snappy I was told that she didn't like mealworms so I haven't ever tried them with her. I decided to get some to try with her last night. Oh my was it funny. I had decided to use tweezers to give them to her since I didn't know what she would do. She snatched them from me so fast and went crazy. Then she decided she would try to hold onto the tweezers and not let me have them. We were laughing so hard at her. I didn't get any pictures so we're going to try again tonight and see if I can get pics or maybe a video. I'm just glad I decided to try them.

I love hearing this!!! I've been told that a couple of mine didn't like meal worms- for all intents and purposes it didn't look like they did.... I had to cut the heads off and then give them to them then they started going nuts, lol. Now my little fluff butts try to dive in the container.

I have to really keep an eye out now though because the kids think it is cool to watch her take the mealies and they want to feed them to her through the cage bars. I don't mind it if I'm supervising but I don't want them feeding her too many of them.

My Vet insists on bringing mealies to feed my babies when they go in for their wellness exam. Gesshhhhhhhhhh, she advises not to feed too many, eh? She loves to watch them eat em.
