Hello everyone Help :) 2069935179 I’m a newbie and I will really appreciate all your help. What kind of plants I can add to the cage and toys? If you can link pictures I will really appreciate. Also my girl Shelly LOVES tomatoes but I give her a little piece every week or every two weeks because I read that you should not give them on daily basis. What vegetables I can give her on daily basis? Thanks in advanced.

Nice to have you here!
For safe plants:
Here is a link to a page of a bunch of safe/unsafe plants. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

For toys:
I have stealth wheels, toddler toys, little ball pits, fun toys I made on my own, and foraging toys. Here is a picture of both of my cages.

On the website linked to this page (second tab called "website") you can find safe fruits/veggies to feed. It is a great guide for how much fruits/veggies to feed per day/week/temporarily. Here is the link:

Thanks for being nice and for the links. I'm so confuse with all the contradictory information I find about Sugar Gliders. I have her since she is a baby the person who sold me my little girl told me she could eat apples, mango and cantaloupe every day and now in this list I saw something different. Is hard because I want to give the best life I can to my sugar glider.

Thank YOU!!! My question is apples, mango, cantaloupe and papaya are OK on daily basis. She loves cantaloupe and this week that is the fruit I'm giving her. Also she likes tomatoes but because everything I read I just give her just a very little piece every week; or I can give her more?

it is best to feed a large variety of fruits and vegetables, every night something new. The safe list is just a guide for how many times you might want to feed something per week since some things are low in calcium. Calcium is important for gliders as they develop paralysis of the back legs without it, the best way to avoid this is by feeding a variety of fruits and veggies and a good nectar replacement diet such as HPW, LGRS, AWD, etc.

The reason you are seeing so much conflicting info is because there is a mill breeder (one who treats animals cruelly for monetary gain) who buys handfuls of domains ..like lets say sugarbearsrock and then puts all kinds of info on there that will help their sales go up. They tell lies that make gliders look very appealing and easy to care for. Unfortunately they are exotics that need special care and attention. If you are worried about running into these scammers avoid things that call sugar gliders sugar bears such as the YouTube 'vet'.

She could have more tomato but it would be better and more fun for her to have celery, lettuce, or maybe squash. The same goes for the fruit. Just mix it up a bit and watch her forage!

Thank you for your help. I been driving myself crazy with all the contradictory information I found. I'm the kind of pet owner that believe pets are family so for me is giving them the BEST life style I can. The person who sold me my glider just told me to give her apple, apple sauce and protein he never told me about veggies and other fruits. I'm trying to find 3 fruits and 3 veggies I can mix them on the week.

It's easy to get overwhelmed when it comes to finding the right information on these little ones. The best advice is to find someone whom you feel confident in and work with that person one on one.

I have found over the years that many sugar glider owners have different opinions which is good, however, the information varies. Times have changed so with that, new diets, bonding techniques, etc. have changed.

Some of the information found on the internet is outdated, or is put out there by individuals who have not been experienced enough to give the correct information.

We all were in your place at one time too. Therefore, we can totally understand how confusing all this is at first.

The good news is, once you've adjusted to having your babies, and have gone through the trials and errors, things will get easier.

Wishing you all the best and happiness.
