PostSubject: shrimpies!   shrimpies! EmptyThu Apr 05, 2012 3:13 pm

okay! i have a bag of frozen shrimp in my freezer (typically where frozen shrimp is kept lol) and im not planning on using it anytime soon

its raw...so can i feew it thaw and raw?

do i have to cook it >?

would shrimp be a good source of protein for the night ?

OR should i just not feed shrimpies ...

i gave a bit to my sally and she LOVED it.....she has been seeming to eat ALOT more protein lately she will eat every last bit of egg before bear wakes up! so i have to basically hand feed him to make sure hes getting some.

It's spring, so their bodies are naturally wanting more protein to head into the natural breeding season. I feed raw shrimp as long as it is clean, however, I will put my usual disclaimer- if you don't feel confident in your ability to properly clean raw meats, do not feed it that way. Very Happy

I buy the pre-cooked shrimp. I just pull it out of the freezer, run HOT water in a bowl and let it sit enough to thaw then feed it. THEY LOVE IT!
