Since both of my pairs were rescues, neither of them were on a good staple diet when I got them. The first pair was on a commercial pellet diet and the other pair came from PP and were being fed the pellets that came with them. Since I switched to HPW I have noticed that both pairs no longer look skinny and they now eat all their staple at night. I used to waste a lot of the staple since they would mostly ignore the pellets in favor of the fruits/veggies that they were now getting from me which they had not gotten in the past, but now they eat the staple first then the fruits/veggies (unless I give them mealies, then they go wild on them first). But overall I see them getting to a better weight and coats that look glossy and feel super soft.

That's great! Which HPW do you use? The only one I've heard about/experienced having problems was the Complete I hear great things with the others.

I've heard that the other ones are okay, I just know I had a lot of problems with the Complete.

I usually feed HPW Plus to my gliders and also give extra since it seems mom's are always busy with babies lol! They look amazing on this diet and joeys are all healthy Smile

Now for the HPW Complete, I do keep this on hand as a just in case measure should I have to leave suddenly or happen to forget I'm out of Plus right at dinner time. None of my gliders have acted like they're starving when they get this (when I have to make a batch it's fed for a few days) and no food aggression issues. I have noticed when they get Complete, their bowls and plates are pretty much cleaned by morning which I love but with breeders in the house I prefer to have the make it diet versus add water as the main diet Smile

This is quite interesting especially since you have made this public because I have heard this same kind of story with other breeders before but only in private.

With Chip and Mystery did you discern yourself that she had diminished milk supply? If so did your vet agree with you? For us non-breeders what kind of symptoms did the joeys have that showed they were not being cared for properly?

Here are two other stories about HPW Complete from owners on GG:
