| Hello all we are a new sugie family. we had neignbors that had sugies and the little girl didnt want to care for them and so now we have some new sugies.. so far we are enjoying them. and having great fun. our little girl elanore is very timid and has not been socialized much except with the male Theodore so he is pretty hand tame but she is not.. she gets really scared and nips. so any tips on how i can break her of this would be appreciated.. i know that it will take them longer to bond to us due to us now being their 3rd family. but with a lot of patience and love we will make this work. and with the knowledge i gain i am hoping to start a glider rescue in our area we took the gliders. thank you for any help you can give us.

To answer the bite question, all I know to do is go "tssst" whenever she bites (unhappy tssts);
If she "Bulldog" bites (not just a nip but an all out won't let go bite) then blow in her face.
Snatching your hand back when she bites just teaches her it will get her what she wants so even though it's hard try not to. | |
