| SGAA Info SiteI'm going to put this thread here to keep track of the pages on the SGAA site that are still blank or need additions!We're happy to add user submitted content to the site, too. (That means YOUR info!  ) We'll even credit ya and link to your website! The pages that are ENTIRELY blank still will be red!The pages that have some content but still need MORE or are INCOMPLETE will be blue!SGAA - Basics- The basics of sugar gliders! Opinions of what exactly should be here are welcome, too!SGAA - Sounds- We could use some more sugar glider sounds or explanations of each sound! SGAA - Legality- Anything wrong, missing? Any info you care to add? Please, share!SGAA - Myths- This one is a work in progress, got a thread going on suggestions for this page!SGAA - Definitions- This is another work in progress. We have a thread going asking people for definitions or words/abbreviations they would like defined. SGAA - EMERGENCY- This page is for people having an emergency situation. It has experienced glider owner contact numbers and the vet consult numbers, too. If you can think of any short, sweet, to the point info to add for emergencies that would be great! SGAA - Diets- This page will list all of the well known diets and link to a page on each individual diet with links, recipes and any other tips/info. If you've got info to share for this page, please do so!SGAA - Safe Foods- This page will be a good go-to for new and old owners on which items are safe to feed gliders!SGAA - Unsafe Foods- This page will be a good go-to for new and old owners on which items are not safe to feed gliders!SGAA - Treats- This page will be a good resource for different types of glider treats. We'll list treats we can find in every day stores like Walmart or Target and more unusual things you may need to make yourself or order online.SGAA - Pellets- I'm undecided as to how to go about this page, exactly.. But it's a work in progress, so.. =/SGAA - Bonding- This page will be full of tips and advice on the best suggested methods to bond with your sugar gliders, young or old.SGAA - Handling- This page will explain some of the best ways to handle sugar gliders. ie. not to grab, squeeze. scoop gently, etc.SGAA - Introductions- This page will help new owners with suggestions on how to go about introducing gliders who were not previously housed together. SGAA - Housing- The basics on safe cages/housing for sugar gliders. What to do, not to do.. what to look for in a safe cage. Some of the safe materials, etc. If you've got some tips to add please feel free to do so! - We could use some info on water bottles/food dishes(kitchens), info on how-to glider-proof rooms, etc. Whatever you feel is need.SGAA - Bedding- What types of materials to use for sugar glider pouches, hammocks, etc. That type of 'bedding', what they sleep in. Still need info for this page.SGAA - Litter- What to use for 'litter' on the bottom of the cage. ie. fleece, potty pads, carefresh, etc. Still need this page to be written up.SGAA - Climate- This page will have info on what type of climate the glider room should be kept at.. ie. humidity, temperature, light or dark, etc.SGAA - Vet Info- Things to ask a prospective vet, what to look for in a vet.. Why you need a vet, a listing of vets.. Etc. There's a lot we could do with this page.SGAA - Anatomy- The basics on sugar glider anatomy, photos, explanations, etc. If you have anything to add or any photos you'd like to share please do so! -- UPDATE : We need someone who may want to write up some color descriptions and we need photos we may be allowed to use for examples. We can link back to the photo owners site if they wish, too.SGAA - Parasites- This should be some of the basic parasites gliders most often catch, just so people are aware that they CAN get them and perhaps what to look for or ask the vet to test for.SGAA - Problems[color=blue]- Some of the most common problems that arise with sugar gliders. ie depression, self mutilation.. We could add stuff about breeding in relation to mating wounds and rejected joeys, etc.. I'd love some more info to put here.[/blue] SGAA - Preventative- This page is for things, any things, that we can do to help prolong a gliders life, to prevent them from succumbing to depression, self mutilation, any various parasites, etc. Just a general safety page, probably. This is still empty. ):SGAA - Neutering- This page will be for basic info about neutering, pros, cons, a bit about how it happens, the age/size at which it should, etc.SGAA - First Aid Kit- This will be a basic list of things you should have ready for a glider in an emergency situation.. be it rejected joeys, a mating wound, whatever.SGAA - Adopting from a Breeder- The pros and cons to adopting from a breeder versus the other methods. Things to ask a breeder, to look for when choosing a breeder, etc.SGAA - Adopting from a Rescue- The pros and cons to adopting from a rescue versus the other methods. Things to ask a prospective rescue, things to consider when adopting a rescue glider, etc.SGAA - Adopting from Craigslist- The pros and cons to adopting from craigslist. Some things to consider about craigslist. Things to look for and watch out for, scams, etc.SGAA - Shipping- Basics about shipping gliders, how safe it can be, how it works, how pricey it is, etc. Many people expect a UPS package at their door, honestly.. x-x;And then there are all of the 'Products' pages. | + Added colors to the Anatomy page.. Who's up for writing up some descriptions for them?
We could also use some color reference photos, good clear shots, and we can credit/link back to the photographer.
I've been busy with school so I can only type up so much lately, sorry. D: | |

I do have some photos, but definitely not all and not always the best. Some of my guys just do NOT like photo time. X_x They do their best to either jump on my head or move every time I click. >_> Some of the ones up are mine, too. | I wrote up a genetics page, it is really simplified but I think it gets the job done, my source may have not been up to date so feel free to punch me.
Also I am taking my transfer genetics class within a few weeks here so I may be able to add more info or correct current stuffs. | |
